MazdaGear.com
This was my second major project for Morrie’s. What started in 2006 with only $12k in sales has grown to over $1.5m in sales since then, with substantial growth through the worst of the recession in 2008 and 2009.
In the Spring of 2005 I was given a domain, and a splash page our ad agency had created, and the vision that this could grow to be a $360k/year business.
I selected MonsterCommerce as the platform to use for our new store. The original design was based off of what our agency had produced, and was fairly crude.
I worked with Ted Quinn, a graphic designer to come up with some new concepts for branding, and overall look and feel for the website.
This is the first version of MazdaGear.com as it went live in the summer of 2006.
In early 2008, I went through and did a minor refresh. Menus were converted from image-based to styled html, and the product description pages were overhauled for usability and upgraded SEO.
The current design has been in place since late 2008, after MonsterCommerce was acquired by Network Solutions, and the back-end of the site was completely overhauled.
